Srinagar, Nov 29 (KNO): The Postgraduate Department of Minimal Access Surgery at Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar, successfully organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program titled "Upper GI Discourse". As per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the event brought together eminent luminaries from the fields of surgery and gastroenterology, creating an enriching academic environment. The program witnessed the esteemed presence of renowned professionals, including Prof. M.S. Khuroo, Prof. Aijaz (Head of the Department of Surgery, SKIMS), and Prof. Aijaz (Head of the Department of Surgery, SKIMS Medical College, Srinagar). Faculty members from peripheral medical colleges across the region, spanning from North to South Kashmir, also actively participated in the event, further enhancing its academic value. Prof. Iqbal Saleem, Head of the Department of Minimal Access Surgery, GMC Srinagar, and President of JAKASI (Jammu and Kashmir Association of Surgeons of India), highlighted the department's significant contributions to surgical education and training.
